Committed to Sustainability

Backed by decades of dedication and growing expertise, Gold-Eagle Cooperative delivers practical, operation-specific conservation solutions that support long-term productivity for both the grower and their land.

Gold-Eagle offers conservation planning support for edge-of-field practices including:

improve water quality at little to no cost

Proven Edge-of-Field Practices

Gold-Eagle proudly consults on cost share availability and farm qualifications. Once provided with a tile map, our team will review the tile layout and determine if the site is a good candidate for a bioreactor or saturated buffer. Together, we’ll determine your location’s suitability for edge-of-field practice implementation so that we can continue protecting our water. The first step is simple, just contact our team and provide a tile map. There is no obligation and no evaluation cost.

Cover Crop Incentives

Cover crop incentives can exceed establishment costs when correctly chosen to fit your operation. As cover crop experts across the Boone River Watershed, Gold-Eagle is here to help you explore these options plus drilling and drone applications, as well.

45Z Program

Our conservation agronomy team works alongside growers and conservation partners to identify emerging opportunities and potential cost-share or technical assistance programs. Conservation practices and the programs they make up can help position growers for future sustainability goals and potential market opportunities, like the 45Z Program.

What is 45z?

45Z Clean Fuel Production Credit

The 45Z Clean Fuel Production Credit is a federal tax incentive designed to encourage the production of transportation fuels with lower greenhouse gas emissions. Especially in terms of ethanol, agricultural practices can play an important role in the overall carbon footprint of the grain used in fuel production.

How can gold-eagle help?

Guiding Our Growers

The Gold-Eagle team works directly with our growers to simplify the process and provide guidance during every step. The role of our agronomists is to not only advise on practices, but help generate and document data that allows for a carbon intensity score of grain. This score is ultimately what programs like 45Z use to determine credits.

What's in it for you?

Savings Meet Sustainability

Big picture, 45Z rewards regenerative agriculture and supports domestic production. The goal of 45Z, among other carbon programs, is to subsidize the cost of certain conservation infrastructure, this helps offsets upgrades and new tech to keep that process going for extended tax credits. Beyond that, program participation in coordination with our cooperative means organized nutrient management practices, application data and field records, too.
